How to enter

 

Our Prize Handbook includes all of the detailed information you will need ahead of entering the Prize. We strongly encourage you to read the entire Handbook along with the Prize Terms and Conditions before submitting an application.

Longitude Prize On ALS Innovator Handbook

Step 1: Register to be a competing team

You will be asked to complete a simple form that captures key details about your team's expertise, helping us connect you with potential partners if you're seeking collaboration opportunities. It only takes a few minutes to complete!

This registration is not mandatory, but we encourage you to complete it as it will help us engage with your team ahead of submissions.

To do this, simply create an account using the link below, you will then be asked to set up your profile by answering a few simple questions. 

Step 2: Attend our events

We also encourage all potential applicants to attend one or more of a range of events over the entry period in support of your application. These will include:

Coming end of July (TBC)

In this webinar, the Prize's data partners, including Project MinE, Answer ALS, and ALS Compute, will showcase the unique genomic, multi-omic, and clinical datasets available to prize participants.

Over the course of the application period, the Prize delivery team will attend a range of relevant conferences and events across the globe. We would be delighted to meet and connect with you and your team before you submit your application.

Aside from facilitating matchmaking through our website, the Prize aims will organise networking events to allow you to meet others interested in applying to the Prize and explore potential partnerships.

Data exploration workshops

To support your application process, the Prize will also organise activities to enable your team to do a hands-on and collaborative exploration of some of the available Prize datasets and computational tools.

Step 3: Submit your application form before the deadline

All entries for ‘Stage 1: Discover’ must be submitted by 3rd December 2025 at 15:00 GMT, using the application form available on the online portal Submittable.
